Donate or Volunteer - Your help is invaluable to our mission

All organizations need financial support.  Classes are free, but we must pay teachers and childcare providers and purchase food and supplies. We must raise funds annually to meet our budget.  The City of Alexandria is a significant funder of the program. The remainder comes from individual and business community donations, from events, and from foundations.  All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  The Parent Leadership Training Institute of Alexandria, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation with EIN 20-5287807. For GuideStar information, including IRS 990s, please see:

To donate by mail, make checks payable to "PLTI Alexandria" and send to:

We also participate in Amazon Smile,  The Referral Project, and have donation arrangements with Holy Cow Del Ray.  Click here for more information on those programs:

"All of the money goes to our program. There is no cost for the participants to go through this program.  Because we are doing civic advocacy training in a different way, (and) we are impacting the lives of children in a different way, we are dependent on the friends and family and supporters of our program. The grants and foundations haven’t exactly caught up to the innovative work that we are doing yet. So we are happy to know that we are supported by the community and this is just another way for individuals to lend their support to the way that we are bringing more voices into the democracy and teaching people to be a part of… the process and engaged in their community."
